My Education, My Future.

Our President delivered a "controversial", as deemed by some right-wing Americans, back-to-school speech this morning. As usual, he hit the nail on the head. Finally, a true leader! Take a look:

BTW, it wasn't so "controversial" in 1991 when President George H.W. Bush encouraged students to 'say no' to drugs and to work hard in school and in 1988 when Reagan delivered a nationally televised, politically charged back-to-school address... Come on conservatives, try again!

Here's CNN's coverage of the speech.

Thanks for posting this. It was an excellent and inspiring speech. Those who didn't allow their children or students to hear it are the same ones who told us that we should respect the Office of President even if we didn't agree with G.W. Bush's policies. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, why is that no longer important?

Good point! It's all rhetoric as far as I’m concerned... only proposed when making an unfounded point against the opposition, but not followed whenever push comes to shove, to put it lightly.
